Very nice place, worth a visit. But you can’t enter neither the castle nor the garden on a Sunday. There are no opening hours displayed. I couldn’t even find them on the official homepage. What a shame!

Beautiful castle of Susans, very furnished and properly rearranged, visited with the 2023 open castles edition, the event to visit the castle was very well organised. I recommend it for the next edition.
Very interesting experience, in addition to admiring the structure which is wonderful and dominates the entire valley, I also had the fortune of listening to the history of the evolution and changes of the castle.
Beautiful atmosphere, the castle at sunset welcomed us for an evening of music and colours. Congratulations to the organizers and the talented musicians.
When we photograph weddings in this location, we never know what to expect because each of them manages to be one of a kind. The castle offers immense spaces and different areas that can be used for the various moments of the wedding and this ensures that each event is unique. We have photographed weddings in this location in every season and it always remains a magical place.
The privately owned castle is open to the public on select days of the year. The guided tour tells the medieval and Renaissance history of Friuli, as well as recounting the vicissitudes of the castle. The rooms are a bit unadorned and you have to make an effort of imagination to understand how they might have been furnished in the past. The ticket price is 7 euros for adults and half for children up to 12 years old. Recommended if you are nearby.
